Vodafone Romania, the second-biggest mobile carrier in Romania, increased its service revenues by 2.5% in the financial year ended on march 31, 2018, to EUR 723.6 million.
The company had a total of 9.6 million clients at the end of March, up 2.1% year-on-year. Some 8.9 million were mobile clients, 41% of whom had subscriptions.
The data consumption in the Vodafone network increased by 80% in the recently-closed financial year compared to the previous one.
Vodafone Group recently announced the takeover of US group Liberty Global’s operations in Germany and Eastern Europe. Vodafone Romania will thus take over UPC Romania and will be able to provide fixed-mobile service bundles, similar to its competitors Telekom Romania, orange and Digi Communications.
