U.S. pharmaceutical company Mylan, which was not directly present in Romania, is now at number 20 on the local market after it acquired Abbott's drug division outside the U.S.

“Mylan had no presence in Romania, so our division of mature drugs from Abbot - established pharmaceuticals – became Mylan. At the time when the announcement related to the completion of the transaction was made, namely February 27, 2015, the entity became the property of Mylan,“ said Adrian Grecu, the company's general manager, cited by local Ziarul Financiar.

Adrian Grecu has been the general manager of Abbott Products Romania since December 2011 and is now the general manager of Mylan.
