Two subway stations in Bucharest to be inaugurated in early 2017

Two subway stations of the line 4 in Bucharest, namely Laminorului and Straulesti, could be put into use in the first quarter of the next year. All work, except for the fire detection and alarm systems, has been completed, according to Bucharest’s subway operator Metrorex, reports local Profit.ro. The opening of the two new metro stations should have taken place yesterday. Transport minister Sorin Buse said in an interview at the beginning of this month that the inauguration would take place on December 19. The controls for receiving the two new metro stations started at the beginning of the month. The Laminorului and Straulesti metro stations are part of the section Parc Bazilescu - Straulesti of the line 4, which spans over 2.1 kilometers. editor@romania-insider.com
