Telekom becomes sponsor of Romania's national football team

Telecom player Telekom has signed a two-year contract with the Romanian Football Federation to become the main sponsor of Romania’s national football team. The contract can extend after two years, taking into account the athletic performance and reputation. “We wish to have a contract for at least four years,” said Razvan Burleanu, president of the Romanian Football Federation. This is the first time when Telekom Romania gets involved in football, since the rebranding of Cosmote and Romtelecom in September last year. Telekom and the Romanian Football Federation didn’t mention the contract value, which is estimated on the market at several million euros.
