Three Romanian soldiers sell and consume drugs in military unit

Three soldiers working in a military unit in Giurgiu were detained on Friday last week for drug trafficking and consumption. The prosecutors found cannabis, ecstasy, amphetamines and other drugs during searches at the military unit. The defendants have apparently been trafficking drugs in Bucharest and Giurgiu county between May and August this year, according to the investigators. The soldiers sold drugs to other people working at the military unit. They also consumed drug within the military unit. The Directorate for Combatting Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) has detained the three soldiers and demanded their temporary arrest. editor@romania-insider.com
