Romania’s Simona Halep reaches the final in Madrid for the second time

Romanian tennis star Simona Halep beat Australian Samantha Stosur in the Mutua Madrid Open semifinals and reached the final act of the competition for the second time in her career. Halep needed less than one hour to beat former US Open winner Stosur. She won the match in two sets, ended 6-2, 6-0. The Romanian will play against Slovakia’s Dominika Cibulkova in the final on Saturday. This is Halep’s second final in Madrid, after the one she lost to Maria Sharapova in 2014.
