Romanian tennis player Patricia Tig reaches semifinals in Seoul

Romanian tennis player Patricia Tig has qualified for the semifinals of the WTA tournament in Seoul after a 7-6 (7/2), 2-6, 6-3 win over Spain’s Sara Sorribes on Friday. The match lasted 2 hours and 36 minutes. In the semifinals, the Romanian will play against another Spanish tennis player, Lara Arruabarrena. The game will take place on Saturday, September 24. With 439 points, Patricia Tig ranks 135th in the WTA ranking of best women's tennis players in the world. The best-ranked Romanian tennis player is Simona Halep, at number 5. Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu won the WTA tournament in Seoul last year. However, this year, she stopped in the second round.
