Romania adds 681 coronavirus cases in 24 hours, total exceeds 38,100

Romania recorded 681 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 38,139 on Monday, July 20, according to the daily reportreleased at 13:00.

Of the total cases, 25,213 patients were discharged: 22,747 patients have recovered, while 2,466 asymptomatic patients were discharged ten days after the diagnosis.

Furthermore, 972 patients were discharged upon request by July 20.

In the past 24 hours, 12 Covid-19 patients died, pushing the death toll to 2,038.

Of those who passed away in the last 24 hours, one was aged 40 to 49, one 50 to 59, one 60 to 69, five were aged 70 to 79, and four were older than 80. Eleven of them had previous medical conditions.

The number of patients admitted to intensive care units went up to 293 on July 20, from 286 the day before.

At a national level, 967,192 tests were carried out by the same date.
