EIB will lend EUR 40 million for the deployment of 10,500 Eldrive charging stations, part of an expansion project in Eastern Europe, Eldrive announced in a press release quoted by Hotnews.ro.
Specifically, this major investment in charging infrastructure for electric cars currently includes three countries: Bulgaria, Romania and Lithuania, aiming to expand to Latvia as well.
The total estimated price of the project is EUR 174 million.
Eldrive is one of the main operators in Bulgaria, Romania and Lithuania, with an ever-expanding infrastructure of charging stations for electric vehicles. It has more than 800 charging stations in operation.
