Billboards against C-sections on display in Bucharest spark criticism

Update: Bucharest City Hall announced on Sunday, April 19, that all three advertising companies have agreed to remove the anti-cesarean billboards from the city. The billboards will be taken down on Monday, April 20.

“Three outdoor advertising companies complied with the request from the general mayor, Ciprian Ciucu, conveyed through the Bucharest Local Police, and agreed to take down the anti-cesarean message from all the billboards they own in Bucharest. Even though district city halls authorize billboard placements, and the companies that own them sign contracts and display paid ads, the mayor decided to intervene,” Bucharest City Hall announced on Facebook.
