Romanian county invests EUR 16 mln in school campus for children with disabilities

The Bihor County Council has initiated an investment of over EUR 16 million in a school campus for children with special needs. The local authorities will finance the investment from own funds.

The project includes the construction of 8 buildings with classrooms for primary school, secondary school and high school children, library, workshops, dormitory, canteen as well as medical facilities, a hydrotherapy pool, and sports hall. The campus will also have animals for animal therapy, a vegetable garden and an orchard.

"The idea of this project is to create an integrated structure for children with disabilities in Bihor county by developing a modern infrastructure and ensuring the optimal framework with all necessary facilities," said Ioan Mang, vice president of the Bihor County Council, Ziarul Financiar reported.

Bihor, in Western Romania, is one of the country’s most developed counties.
