SABMiller appoints new VP of Human Resources for Romanian Ursus Breweries

Rob Kenney is the new Vice President of Human Resources for SABMiller’s Romanian subsidiary Ursus Breweries starting August this year. He replaced Romanian Cristian Popescu, who worked six years within the company. Kenney has an experience of 11 years in human resources. He joined SABMiller Group in 2008 and has held several management positions within the company since then. Before joining Ursus Breweries’ team, he was Human Resources Director at Pivovary Topvar, SABMiller’s subsidiary in Slovakia. Before SABMiller, Rob Kenney was HR Business Partner at Barclays Bank in the UK. He holds a degree in psychology from the University of Nottingham. Ursus Breweries is one of the top brewers in Romania. The company had over 1,500 employees between March 2013 and April 2014. Women occupied almost half of its management positions. Ursus Breweries’ brands include Ursus, Timisoreana, Ciucas, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Grolsch, Azuga, Redd’s, Stejar, Pilsner Urquell, and Miller Genuine Draft.
