Romania's Competition Council OKs takeover of Anima clinics by MedLife

The Competition Council approved the takeover of the Anima clinics in Bucharest by MedLife, the largest Romanian private healthcare operator.

MedLife bought the six clinics owned by Anima in Bucharest, as well as the company’s branch in charge of marketing and sales. Anima provides medical consultation services as well as laboratory tests and medical imaging services.

MedLife recorded a net profit of almost EUR 1 million in the first three months of the year, up 15.5% over the same period last year. The company’s turnover rose by 26% year-on-year to EUR 32.2 million between January and March.

MedLife operates a network of seven clinics in Bucharest.
