Two Romanians were held in an ATM fraud scheme probe in Jamaica last week, reports Jamaica-gleaner.com.

The local authorities previously detained two other Romanians in this case, which means that they are now having four Romanian citizens in custody. However, the police are still trying to determine if the two suspects arrested last week are the ones the Police were searching.

Meanwhile, one of the Romanians, whose name is Claudio Precup, appeared in court last Thursday, being charged with simple larceny, unauthorized access of computer data, and fraudulent withdrawal. He is accused of using fraudulent ATM cards to withdraw money from the accounts of bank customers.

Another Romanian man detained in a local mall is yet to be charged. He was reportedly held with about 20 fraudulent bank cards, more than USD 150,000 in cash, and several withdrawal receipts.
