Romanian telecom company RCS & RDS will launch a news TV channel, Digi24 TV, on March 1, 2012, adding to the existing three sports channels, film channel and several music channels. The TV station will broadcast in full HD.

Digi24 TV’s shows will be hosted by journalists such as Adriana Muraru, Liana Alexandru, Luca Niculescu, Cosmin Prelipceanu, Emma Zeicescu, Cosmin Stan, and Laura Teodoru.

RCS & RDS’s 2010 sales reached EUR 418 million, up from EUR 391 million the year before. The company is controlled by Romanian businessman Zoltan Teszari. It was created 15 years ago and operates on the Romanian market, as well as in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia and Serbia.
