Romanian MP taken into custody for illegal forest retrocession

Social Democratic Party (PSD) deputy Ioan Adam has been put under pre-trial detention for 30 days, after being indicted by the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) in the illegal forest retrocessions case, according to the High Court of Cassation and Justice’s decision, cited by Agerpres. In the same case, former deputy Hrebenciuc and his son Andrei Hrebenciuc were previously arrested, while more people, including PSD Senator Ilie Sarbu and Romsilva Director Adam Crăciunescu, were prosecuted. editor@romania-insider.com
