Romanian group invests EUR 5 mln in slaughter house

Romanian agribusiness Agricover will invest about EUR 5 million in the acquisition of a meat processing unit in the south of the country.

The company wants to refurbish and modernize the butchery, expand the slaughtering capacity and introduce an efficient IT system, reads its statement.

The unit can currently slaughter 120 pigs per hour and is located in Niculesti, in Dambovita county.

The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank provided the funding for this project.
