Survey: The Romanian cities with the best transport services

A recent survey listed the cities with the best transport services in Romania, and the capital Bucharest is not in top ten.

The best transport services in Romania can be found in Oradea, Brasov and Cluj-Napoca, according to a study compiled by real estate classifieds website Storia.ro in collaboration with D&D Research, cited by local Profit.ro. The top ten is completed by Sibiu, Timisoara, Ploiesti, Pitesti, Constanta, Ramnicu Valcea and Alba Iulia.

Meanwhile, the cities with the worst public transport services are Alexandria, Drobeta Turnu-Severin, and Calarasi.

The capital Bucharest ranks only 22nd. The city’s neighborhoods with the best transport services are Tineretului, Dristor, Grivita, Mosilor, Nicolae Grigorescu, Timpuri Noi, Vatra Luminoasa, Eroii Revolutiei, Titan, and Iancului, while 23 August, Ghencea and Antiaeriana seem to have the worst such services.

At a national level, the neighborhoods with the best transport services are Valea Aurie in Sibiu, Tineretului in Bucharest, and Scriitorilor in Brasov.

Among historical regions, the best transport services are found in Transylvania, Banat, and Crisana. The Bucharest-Ilfov region, however, is at the bottom of the ranking.

The study, which analyzes the citizens’ perception of transport services in the regions, cities and neighborhoods in which they live, was carried out between November 2016 and August 2017 on more than 258,000 respondents.
