Romania’s consultancy market hits EUR 200 mln after “one of the best years”

22 March 2019

Romania's consultancy services market grew by 6% last year compared to 2017, to more than EUR 200 million, according to data provided by the management consultancy company Horváth & Partners. The firm estimates that the growth rate of 6% will be maintained this year as well.

"For the management consulting market in Romania, 2018 was one of the best years recently. Starting 2017, digitization has been one of the main engines of the market," said Kurt Weber, General Manager of Horváth & Partners Romania.

"In 2018, we had a significant number of requests from customers who wanted to increase their productivity and streamline their processes, so they needed advice on implementing digital services. Wage increases have put pressure on many companies, causing them to allocate more funds for consultancy to improve performance and reduce costs," Weber explained.

The highest demand for consultancy services came last year from financial services companies, followed by energy companies and companies in the HR services sector.
