Renault to sell Romanian Dacia Logan MCV under the local brand Lada in Russia

Renault, the owner of Romanian brand Dacia, has decided to introduce the Logan MCV model on the Russian market, but under the Lada brand, according to Inautonews.com. Renault also owns AvtoVAZ, the Russian producer of Lada cars. Dacia and Lada were the main car brands in Eastern Europe during the communist period.

Renault will launch the Dacia Logan MCV model under the name Lada Largus in Russia and will produced it in its Togliatti factory. Some of the components will also come from Renault's factory in Mioveni, Romania.

There will be no major changes in terms of design and performance between the Dacia Logan MCV and the Lada Largus, according to Inautonews.com.
