Pizza Hut inaugurates first restaurant in Galati
Pizza Hut inaugurated its first restaurant in the city of Galati, Eastern Romania, with an investment of EUR 430,000. Its local network thus reached 22 stores.
The new unit is located in the Shopping City Galati mall and covers 320 sqm. The area includes both the restaurant and the indoor terrace. It will also have a 75-sqm outdoor terrace from spring 2018.
The new Pizza Hut restaurant has generated over 35 new jobs.
Pizza Hut operates in Romania under the Sphera Franchise Group, which also owns the KFC, Pizza Hut Delivery and Taco Bell brands in the master franchise system. Pizza Hut entered the Romanian market in 1994, with the opening of its first restaurant in Bucharest’s Dorobantilor-Romana area.
The Pizza Hut sales for January-September reached RON 81 million (EUR 17.4 million), up 16.2% over the same period last year, mainly supported by the increase in sales on the delivery channel.
