Xerox sells more printers in Romania after turning eyes from multinationals to small, medium firms

Printer producer Xerox sold 72 percent more printers and multifunctional office equipment last year in Romania, focusing more on small and medium enterprises. “For us, SMEs represented an important source of growth, after 14 years when we managed to create a strong portfolio of clients focusing on large local companies and multinationals,” said Gabriel Pantelimon, Country General Manager Xerox România (in picture).

The company upped its turnover by 15 percent lats year on the year before, it announced, without supplying actual figures. “All our business segments- services, equipment, paper and technical support – contributed to the significant growth in turnover in 2011,” said Pantelimon, who expects a successful 2012. Its services segment's revenues were 26 percent higher, due to the 15 new clients signed during 2011. Xerox Romania's market share went up to 12.6 percent, 8.5 percentage points than the year before. On the laser printers market segment, Xerox' market share stood at 28.4 percent end – 2011, from 20.1 percent in 2010, according to the company. During the year, the laser printers market in Romania was 16.5 percent higher in volume, reflecting the number of sold units. editor@romania-insider.com
