World Gymnastics Championships: Romanian Larisa Iordache wins bronze in the all-around final

Romanian gymnast Larisa Iordache (picture, right) won the bronze medal in the all-around final of the World Gymnastics Championships in Glasgow. American Simone Biles was the big winner with a total score of 60.399, while Gabrielle Douglas won the silver medal with a total of 59.316 points. The Romanian had a total score of 59.107. “For me, now, this (bronze) is OK. But in the future I want much more. I want the gold medal, of course. I believe in me but I need to be healthy and we will see,” Iordache said, cited by 2015worldgymnastics.com. Romania’s Laura Jurca also ranked 8th, with a total of 56.732 points. Following the winning of the bronze medal, Larisa Iordache has obtained the individual qualification to the Olympic Games in Rio.
