World Class opens 1,000 sqm fitness center in America House in Bucharest

Fitness operator World Class will open a 1,000 sqm sports center at the first floor of the America House office building in central Victoriei Square in Bucharest. The operator has leased the space from AEW, the French investment fund that owns the building, according to Jones Lang LaSalle, which has intermediated the lease.

'World Class currently has about 14,000 members, most of them employees of multinational companies as well as local companies, part of which have offices right in Victoriei Square- Bucharest’s most important business district,” said Carmen Ravon, Senior Consultant within the Retail Agency department of Jones Lang LaSalle. World Class currently operates six centers in Bucharest, two in Cluj and Timisoara. America House, a 27,000 sqm office building was developed by GTC and sold to AEW Europe, which also owns the European Retail Park Targu Mures in Romania. America House's other tenants include Deloitte, Mastercard, Ericsson, BCR, Schlumberger, Tuca Zbarcea &Asociatii, S&T and the Embassy of Japan. Corina Saceanu, corina@romania-insider.com
