Wizz Air introduces flight between Bucharest and Lisbon

Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air announced yesterday that it would launch the Bucharest-Lisbon route in May. The prices will start from RON 179 (EUR 39.5) for a one way trip. The company will operate the flights twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. This is the first Wizz Air flight between Romania and Portugal. Last week, Romanian airline Blue Air also announced a flight from Bucharest to Lisbon, after Portuguese airline TAP gave up this route. Wizz Air now operates 42 routes to 15 countries from Bucharest. It has recently announced a new internal route between Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca. Wizz Air has a fleet of 65 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft and offers over 400 routes. editor@romania-insider.com
