Wind energy production reaches record high in Romania

Energy production from wind sources reached a record high last Friday, at noon: 2,452 MWh. This was above the energy produced using coal – 2,409 MWh, the energy from water – 1,470 MWh and above the nuclear one – 1,424 MWh, according to data from Romania's electricity carrier Transelectrica, cited by local Economica.net. Although the consumption in Romania is of some 7,500 MWh a day during this period, the average daily production is higher, of 9,000 MWh. The difference goes to export.
