Romania's President will spend his winter holidays in the US

Romania’s President Klaus Iohannis will spend the winter holidays in Florida, the US, together with his wife, according to official sources cited by local Mediafax. They will most likely return to Romania after the New Year’s Eve. It is not the President’s first vacation in Florida. Last year, after he won the Presidential elections, Iohannis went to Palm Beach for a few days, in December, before being sworn in as President. While there, the President and his wife visited the family of Romanian businessman Marius Vecerdea, the godson and tennis coach of Klaus Iohannis, according to Mediafax. Last year, the Presidential couple spent their Christmas holiday at Sibiu, Iohannis' town of residence, which the President had run as mayor.
