WEF: Romania develops only 66% of its human capital

Romania ranks 42th out of 130 countries in the world based on its capacity to develop the human capital, according to the World Economic Forum - WEF’s Global Human Capital Index published yesterday. Romania is above the world average, but behind other countries in the region, such as Slovenia (9th place), Estonia (12), Russia (16), Czech (22), Ukraine (24) or Lithuania (25). Romania develops only two-thirds (66.1%) of its human capital, whereas almost 34% its lost. Norway ranks first, with a score of 77.1%, followed by Finland and Switzerland. The Global Human Capital Index classifies countries according to how well they develop the human capital based on capacity, which is largely determined by formal education and application, namely how skills are put to work. editor@romania-insider.com
