Weather warnings issued for high winds and snow in Romania, Bucharest included

Romania's Meteorological Association has issued more weather warnings for the coming days. An orange alert is in place for snow in Bucharest and several other counties tomorrow (March 26 ) between 04:00 and 14:00. Additional warnings of very strong winds over 70km/h bring the threat of blizzard conditions in some areas.

A code yellow for snow is also in place from 20:00 today, in Bucharest, Ilfov, Dâmboviţa, Prahova, Buzău, Giurgiu, Teleorman, Vâlcea, Argeş, Olt, Dolj, Mehedinţi, Gorj, Caraş-Severin, Sibiu, Braşov, Covasna and Vrancea. According to the Meteorological Association there will be precipitation across Romania from this evening, falling mainly as snow in Oltenia, Muntenia and the Banat and Carpathian mountains.
