Volkswagen plans single-seat electric car

Carmaker Volkswagen will reveal a single-seat zero emission electric car and plans to offer a package which includes power from renewable sources to customers of the new electric car, according to the Financial Times. The single-seater concept car, which should be unveiled within weeks, was designed for limited purposes, such as commuting, and that most drivers would want a larger vehicle for longer trips, according to FT. Single-passengers cars are not widespread, as few car makers have created such products. Volkswagen wants to become the electric cars industry's largest carmaker by 2018.
