Vimetco increases production of local Alro

Russian aluminum group Vimetco intends to increase the production at local subsidiary Alro Slatina by 26 percent this year, according to Marian Nastase, the group's financial director, quoted by Bloomberg. Alro's production of aluminum – processed goods will increase to 40,000 tonnes this year, while the aluminum production will stay at 186,000 tonnes. Alro is listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Vimetco is owned by Russian businessman Vitali Machitski. The company owns 84 percent of the Alro shares.
