100 US firms come to Bucharest to find export opportunities

About 100 small and medium-sized companies from the US will come to Bucharest this month, between October 18-20, to search for business opportunities in Romania, reports local Ziarul Financiar. The event called “Trade Winds” is organized for the first time in Bucharest. The US companies will have 3-5 meetings with Romanian businesses to discuss about possible business partnerships. The US investors are active in defense, automotive, security and agro-business, Greg O’Connor, regional trade counselor at the United States Embassy in Bucharest, said yesterday. The event is organized by the US Embassy in Bucharest. Romanian companies need to pay a USD 350 tax to take part in the event. The available seats have already been occupied.
