Turnover in motor vehicle and motorcycle trade, up 7.8% in Romania

The turnover in the trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles rose by 7.8% as gross series in the first seven months of the year compared to the same period in 2014. Car sales went up by 16.3% year-on-year, whereas the trade with motorcycles, motorcycle parts and accessories, as well as the motorcycle repair services grew by 10.3%, according to data from the National Statistics Institute INS. The car repair and maintenance services also increased by 7%. The trade with car parts and accessories, however, went down by 2.3% in this period compared to the first seven months of last year. As adjusted series, the turnover in the trade with motor vehicles and motorcycles rose by 8.3% year-on-year. editor@romania-insider.com
