Turkish group opens factory in Romania with EUR 150 mln investment

Turkish company Yildiz Entegre announced yesterday that it will open this Thursday a new wood processing plant in the village of Oarja, Arges county. The investment totals EUR 150 million and will generate about 450 jobs. The factory produces medium density fiberboard, a material used in the furniture industry and considered to be of higher quality than the chipboard. The company also plans to develop the production of doors and laminate flooring, at a later stage. The products will be sold both on the domestic and the foreign markets. Yildiz Entegre is one of the biggest producers of wooden boards in the world, with a production capacity of more than 8,500 cubic meters per day. The company is based in the Turkish city of Kocaeli.
