Toy retailer Jumbo reports EUR 6 mln in net sales after six months of activity in Romania

Greek toy retailer Jumbo recorded net sales of EUR 6.2 million and a profit of EUR 1.4 million in Romania, in the nearly six months of activity on the local market, by end-March. The retailer runs two stores in Romania. In the January-March fiscal quarter, the retailer reported sales of EUR 1.9 million, more than three times lower than in October-December 2013, when the two stores were opened and when the net sales amounted to EUR 4.3 million, according to local Wall-street.ro. The first Jumbo store in Romania was opened in Timisoara and covers an area of 13,000. The retailer’s second store in located in Bucharest and has an area of 14,000 sqm.
