Three families of beavers, a cemetery and a cave of bats are responsible for the delay in completing a highway segment between Lugoj and Deva, according to Romania’s National Company for Highways (CNADNR). “The segment 4 of the Lugoj-Deva highway has faced three major problems. We’ve found a cemetery that does not appear in the feasibility study, three families of beavers, which are protected by law, and a cave of bats. We hope to complete by the end of the year the project, but I can’t estimate precisely when it will be completed,” said Narcis Neaga, CNADNR general manager, cited by local Wall-street.ro. He blamed the current situation on the poor feasibility studies, for which the state pays high amounts. editor@romania-insider.com
