About 5.9 million Romanian use the Internet every day, or 61.5 percent of the total Internet users, in the country and the number is continuously growing, according to the most recent Internet Audience and Traffic Study (SATI) performed by the Romanian Transmedia Audit Bureau (BRAT). The figure covers the period December 1 2013 – February 28 2014. The study shows a decrease in Romanians’ interest for news as well as for info regarding auto and sports. On the other hand, Romanians, who make a total of 21 million according to the 2011 census, are more interested in online gaming and entertainment. The results of the study were influenced by the holiday period in end-December 2013. Regarding the intention to acquire goods and services, Romanians are less interested in buying mobile phones and related services or cable TV services, insurance and credits.
