The best-selling books in Romania in 2015 according to local online retailer

Romanians have kept their preferences for love stories, with a touch of mystery, according to the ranking of the best-selling books in 2015 released by elefant.ro, the biggest online book retailer in Romania. English author E. L. James remained one of the Romanians’ favorite foreign authors. She ranks first in elefant.ro’s ranking with the book Grey: Fifty Shades of Grey as Told by Christian. The Romanians also liked Australian writer Markus Zusak’s The Book Thief and The Girl on the Train by British author Paula Hawkins. The top ten continues with Adultery by Paulo Coelho, Fifty Shades of Grey – Volume I by E. L. James, Secret Garden: An Inky Treasure Hunt and Coloring Book by Johanna Basford, Captivated by You by Sylvia Day, Game of Thrones (two volumes) by George R. R. Martin, The Diary of Anne Frank by Anne Frank, and Divergent. Allegiant (volume III) by Veronica Roth. The best-selling Romanian authors on elefant.ro in 2015 were Irina Binder with her book Fluturi (Butterflies) - two volumes, Chris Simion with Ce ne spunem cand nu ne vorbim (What we tell each other when we don't speak), Ioana Chicet-Macoveiciuc – O sa te tin in brate cat vrei tu si inca o secunda (I'll hold you in my arms as long as you want and a second more), Andrei Ciobanu – Suge-o, Ramona! (Suck it, Romona!), Tudor Chirila – Exercitiu de echilibru (Balance exercise), Lucian Boia – Cum s-a romanizat Romania (How Romania has Romanized), Mugur Ciuvica – Zece ani rai (Ten bad years), Radu Paraschivescu – Noi vorbim, nu gandim (We speak, not think), Chris Simion – 40 de zile (40 days), and Mircea Eliade – Tratat de istorie a religiilor (A treaty on the history of religions). When it comes to books in digital format, elefant.ro’s ranking starts with Andrei Ciobanu’s Suge-o, Ramona! and E. L.
