Swiss Franc appreciates against the RON

The Swiss Franc appreciated sharply on Romania's foreign exchange market on Friday, January 23. The Romanian National Bank (BNR) calculated an exchange rate of RON 4.5817 /CHF, up RON 0.0665 (1.47%) compared to Thursday, January 22. The Romanian currency Leu has lost nearly RON 0.16 in a week against the Swiss Franc. The euro fell against the Romanian Leu with RON 0.007 (0.16%), to a rate of RON 4.4935/ EUR, from RON 4.5005/ EUR in the previous session. The US dollar became meanwhile more expensive with RON 0.12 (3.25%), on Friday reaching RON 3.9980/USD. The price of gold also went up by 3.66%, to RON 166.1. editor@romania-insider.com
