SuperPuma MK1 helicopter to be built on IAR Brasov land in Romania

The shareholders of IAR Brasov (IARV), the state-owned Romanian aerospace manufacturer, decided to offer Vadstena, a company registered in Romania by global helicopter manufacturer Airbus Helicopters, a piece of land of over 12,000 sqm, needed to develop the SuperPuma MK1 helicopter project, according to a report sent to the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), cited by local Economica.net. An 8,550 sqm industrial hall and other industrial capacities for the development of the SuperPuma MK1 helicopter will be built on the piece of land. The plot will be made available to Vadstena during the course of the SuperPuma MK1 project in Romania, but not for more than 99 years, and the price will be at least equal to that established by an authorized assessment company. The Ministry of Economy holds a 64.9% stake in IAR Brasov, the other shareholders including SIF Transilvania (4.57%) and investment fund Broadhurst Investment Limited (2.17%). editor@romania-insider.com
