Stock of logistics and industrial spaces, up by 0.5 mln sqm in Romania this year

The stock of logistics and industrial spaces will increase by about 500,000 sqm this year. It will continue the upward trend from 2016 and will mark the highest rate of post-crisis deliveries, according to Colliers International. About 80% of the deliveries are expected in the Bucharest area, but there is a growing interest for Romania’s secondary cities. Romania has a current stock of 3 million sqm of logistics and industrial spaces. About 40% of the new deliveries are anticipated to come from FMCG companies whereas online retail will generate some 20% of the deliveries. IT and electronic warehouses will account for 10% of the new stock of logistics and industrial spaces this year. In Bucharest, deliveries could increase by up to 80% this year, compared to 60% in 2016. editor@romania-insider.com
