State-owned Romanian energy companies record EUR 932 mln losses in three years

The companies that are under the authority of the Energy Ministry have reported total losses of RON 4.2 billion (EUR 932 million) in the last three years. In 2015, Complexul Energetic Oltenia, Regia Autonoma de Activitati Nucleare (Nuclear Activities Autonomous Authority), and Complexul Energetic Hunedoara saw cumulated losses of EUR 619 million. The state has the majority stake in all the three companies. Complexul Energetic Hunedoara recorded the biggest loss, namely over EUR 368 million. The financial situation of the National Uranium Company in 2015 hasn’t yet been approved. In 2014, the total losses amounted to some EUR 273 million. editor@romania-insider.com
