Small salary hike for Romanian health care employees

Employees in health care and social assistance will get RON 100 (some EUR 22.7) more to their salaries starting January. It is the second salary hike announced this week, after a similar one for postal workers. The announced salary increase triggered the cancellation of the November 12 planned protests, as health care employees had been asking for this salary hike. The Government also promised it would finalize in 30 days negotiations for the collective labor contract in health care.
