Six consortia accepted in bid for secondary offer on state's share package in OMV Petrom

Six consortia have been accepted on the short list in the bid to choose the intermediary of the secondary offer for 9.84 percent of OMV Petrom's shares. According to sources on the market quoted by Mediafax newswire, the six consortia are BCR with JP Morgan and Intercapital Invest, Raiffeisen Capital&Investments with Morgan Stanley, ING Bank with UBS, UniCredit CA IB Securities with Goldman Sachs, Alpha Bank and Nomura, CEC Bank with BT Securities cu Renaissance Capital, Romcapital and EFG Securities. Citi and BRD have been disqualified for submitting offers past the deadline, which was on Wednesday, March 16, 12,00 hours, according to Ziarul Financiar, quoting sources on the market. The state wants to sell 9.84 percent of its shares in OMV Petrom. The secondary offer, estimated at EUR 510 million, based on the most recent share price on the Bucharest Stock exchange, will be the biggest in the history of the BSE. OMV Petrom is owned by Austrian OMV, with 51.01 percent of the shares, while the state holds, through the Economy Ministry, 20.63 percent of the shares.
