Sighisoara-Simeria railway in Romania revamped with EUR 140 mln

Romania’s railways operator CFR has signed a contract worth some EUR 140 million, including VAT, with the association Alstom Transport - Alcatel Lucent Romania - PAS 97, for work on Sighisoara - Coslariu – Simeria railway section, reports local Mediafax. Most of the funds, namely 85%, was ensured by the European Union, while the rest came from the state budget. The contract covers 40 months, plus a warranty period of 2 years.
