Sanoma Trade sells press distribution business and R-Kiosk chain in Romania

The trade division of the Finnish group Sanoma, Sanoma Trade, will sell its press distribution and the R-Kiosk business in Romania to Dan Vasile, the general manager of Rautakirja România and of R-Kiosk Romania, the company has announced. The transaction will trigger restructuring costs of EUR 8 million for Sanoma, with effects over the financial results in the second quarter. R-Kiosk Romania posted net sales of EUR 5 million last year. It runs 20 units mainly in Bucharest and Sibiu. Sanoma's press distribution business generated net sales of EUR 18 million in Romania last year. editor@romania-insider.com
