Romania's electricity carrier Transelectrica sees profit down by 7%

Romanian electricity carrier Transelectrica’s net profit fell by 7% in the first six months of the year to EUR 47.4 million, as the financial expenses increased by 16.5% and the financial income went down by 36% . The company’s operating revenues grew by 8% between January and June to almost EUR 323 million. The operating expenses increased by 10% to EUR 264 million, whereas the financial ones rose by 16.5% to EUR 7.1 million. The profit before taxes was lower than the one recorded in the first six months of last year, even if the operating profit stood slightly above. editor@romania-insider.com
