Romanian courts ruled in favor of taxpayers in 483 complaints against the tax administration ANAF. The authority wrongly asked taxpayers to pay RON 110 million (EUR 24.7 million) in 2014. However, in other 734 complaint cases from last year, ANAF rightfully asked taxpayers to contribute by almost RON 400 million (EUR 89.8 million), according to ANAF statistics. The court ruled in 1,247 complaint cases last year. People contested the legality of certain contributions the ANAF had enforced on them. In 2014, ANAF checked over 7,800 tax enforcement complaints, worth over EUR 337 million. editor@romania-insider.com
