Romania's Tax Authority uncovers EUR 839 mln tax evasion in 3 months

Romania’s Tax Authority ANAF investigated and made 1,187 criminal complaints about high tax evasion in the first four months of the year. It found damages of over EUR 839 million, almost triple - 172% - compared to January-April 2014. The number of high tax evasion which ended with criminal complaints cases increased by over a third year-on-year. Out of the 1,177 companies targeted by these complaints, ANAF discovered 313 “ghost” companies which produced damages of EUR 247 million. editor@romania-insider.com
