Romania's tax agency publishes list of individuals with overdue tax debts

Romania’s Tax Agency ANAF published yesterday the list of individuals with overdue tax debts of over RON 1,500 (EUR 334.2) at the end of March this year. The list includes over 187,000 taxpayers, and the total debt amounts to RON 3.4 billion (EUR 757 million). About EUR 512 million of it can be recovered, according to ANAF. Bucharest’s District 3 mayor Robert Negoita ranks first among individual debtors, with overdue tax debt of over EUR 51.7 million. Last week, ANAF also published the debts of some 145,000 small taxpayers and public institutions with debts of over RON 10,000 (EUR 2,228) at the end of March.
